Thanksgiving

As Thanksgiving approached, we were reminded of all the reasons to feel blessed this year including the fact that we found a wonderful new place to call home. And since we decided not to travel this year, we thought it would be appropriate to use this holiday as our first entertainment test. The guinea pigs were our friends Suzy homemaker and her mister (see her accounting and photos of the event here) and another lovely couple from nearby Berkeley.

Due to our guests' generous contributions to the meal, we feasted on a fine spread of goodies including the requisite (but modestly sized) free range turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, brussel sprouts, sweet potato pudding, fresh baked rolls and cranberry sauce. Our dinner wine was a stunning Ridge Merlot and dessert...apple and pumpkin pie with generous dollops of fresh whipped cream!
