Mr. Bubble caused some trouble

"Do you hear that? I hear water flowing...should I be concerned?" I am so delighted to be surrounded by bubbles in my new tub, I barely notice the sound, but once I do, I get a little worried. John listens for a moment and then confidently declares, "Nah, the overflow is draining now that you got in and raised the water level. And because the tub frame is open, you can hear it better than you would if it were closed." So...I return to my tea and my bubbles...savoring the return to one of my favorite past times...soaking in a hot tub.

I suppose it was probably 15 minutes later that I heard John downstairs, "Oh, crap!" By the time I get down there I realize he's stepped into a large puddle of water and is now scrambling to sop up the wetness with oversized towels. Mr. Bubble has indeed caused some trouble for us on a Saturday morning.

Thankfully, the tub fix is easy for our plumbing contractor, but the damage will require a little bit of rework on some of the walls and a corner of the carpet.  Glad we kept the excess paint!
