A neighborhood gem

Today was one of those gorgeous spring days...warm and sunny -- the perfect day for a walk to BART. I had a lunch scheduled in San Francisco and thought I'd get a little exercise while looking for the latest signs of progress in our neighborhood.

The streets surrounding our home are lined with stunning old Victorians, many of them with birth dates around the turn of the 20th century. The state of these homes are varied...some have been renovated, a few are boarded up, several look as though their foundations are compromised, and a few have at least had a new coat of paint in recent years. And then every once in a while you run across a incredible gem like this. 

It's not quite finished yet, but it's already a beautiful example of what could be. I'm inspired.
