Every once in a while you just have a week that really inspires you. This was mine.
Monday - cautiously pitched a business idea to my transition coach and came away confident and enthusiastic!
Tuesday morning - Seth Godin's blog post reminded me of the importance of aligning passion with work. If you have the time, watch this amazing video called Lemonade:
Tuesday night - heard a panel of speakers reflect on their time at the COP 15 (Copenhagen) - a sobering, but informative call to action for all of us. One of my takeaways:
“…when you recognize that in the underdeveloped world that almost half the products that are grown never make it on the plate, when you recognize that in the developed world, that almost thirty to forty percent of the products that are on the plate get thrown away, these are some huge issues that we have to deal with.”
Wednesday - met the staff and contributors of OaklandLocal, a online publication of community news and events, and discussed ways to get involved.
Thursday - attended a very informative social media conference with about two hundred "20-somethings"...
Friday - brainstormed a potential new business opportunity and then took a relaxing nap. It was a L O N G week. Inspiring, yes...but also exhausting. TGIF!
